Exciting Update: FashionFinders

Hello guys,

I hope you are all well.

Today's post is going to be something a little bit different.

I have decided to add another element to my blog. I have wanted and planned to do Fashion Finders for a very long time, and for now i thought it would be a cool addition to have it on the blog! (There is a new 'Category', called Fashion Finders)

What is FashionFinders?

Fashion Finders is where you can find fashion details from the latest celebrity looks, detailing exactly what they are wearing and where you can purchase it from. If the item is out of stock or unavailable, an alternative will be shown.

Can i request a specific look?

Yes, you can comment below and request.

How often will there be updates?

I will try to post new looks daily, but there will be new looks three times a week.

How can i get updates?

There is now an email Subscription for the blog, so if you sign up, then you will always be notified.

Will there be a tab for each celebrity?

To begin with there will be a 'Label' in each post, identifying the celebrity. So if you want to get updates on a particular celebrity or brand. If you type the name or brand into 'Search' on the blog, all available posts will be shown.

I hope you guys enjoy this new element to the blog, its very exciting and something I'm really passionate about. There will be a few looks available at the same time as this post, so take a look and please subscribe for updates and new posts.

Dominican Republic 2015

Hello Friends,

Good Afternoon, I hope you are all well, winter is officially here. How chilly has it been these past few days? Apologies for the lack of posts, i went on a last minute family vacation to the Caribbean. And did not have a chance to plan posts.

The break away was just what i needed, and ever since i have been back (a few weeks) i have had the flu. Anyway, in today's post i am going to be talking about my vacation and sharing some pictures with you all.

We were lucky enough to stay at an amazing resort, The Breathless Resort and Spa, Punta Cana.
I couldn't recommend this place enough, the staff were so attentative, there were activities in the day, the food was amazing and there was so much to choose from. And the rooms were lovely!

Suite Bathroom..amazing!

Another Pool!

The beach

So I had a wonderful holiday, resting and reading mostly, in beautiful hot surroundings, and of course a cocktail or two was essential ;-). We then flew to  New York after our stay in Punta Cana, we stayed there for a day and night and then flew all the way home to London.

First time in New York, it was a fleeting trip, and was quite chilly but not as chilly as home! I cannot wait to go back next year some time for a longer visit and get to explore more. Unfortunately i forgot my Canon camera, which is so disappointing because i was looking forward to taking loads of fantastic pictures so the iPhone just had to do!

What vacations have you all been on this year?  i just love travelling and exploring. I cannot believe Christmas is nearly upon us!

My schedule is very busy especially these next few months, but i will try my best to post more frequently. I hope you guys can understand.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and the pictures :-)

Fantastic affordable Foundations

Hello guys,

I hope you have all had a great weekend. I went shopping on Saturday and picked up some new foundations that i have been wanting to try. So i have previously tried and loved the L'Oreal Infallible 24 hour matte foundation. So i re-purchased it in a slightly lighter shade for when I'm less tan, and i also finally picked up the L'oreal True Match foundation which i have heard only great things about.

So the L'oreal Infallible 24 hour foundation, is such a great foundation. You can either apply it with a flat kabuki brush or a damp beauty blender. I find both work great, it gives a really natural flawless finish. Its medium coverage, but definitely build able. They have a great colour selection available, so you really can find your perfect shade.

It retails for £9.99, The shade shown is 145 Beige Rose.

 (my darker shade is 16K001)

The second foundation is the L'Oreal True Match,

The foundation promises to give you a natural finish, its new technology helps to capture the warm and neutral undertones of the skin. Its creamy formula helps the product to leave a silky finish. I have found the foundation to provide a flawless natural finish. I have not been using it long but for first impressions i really like it. I really like the consistency of the product, it makes it really blend able. It is also medium coverage but definitely build able. I apply it with a damp beauty blender or a flat kabuki foundation brush.

It retails for £9.99. The shade shown is 1.5N.

Overall, these are two great and really popular foundations, and both at such great prices. In my opinion they really are as good as my more expensive foundations.

I would really recommend trying these, i also picked up the L'Oreal Infallible mattifying primer, i will try it and let you guys know what i think of it once i have tested it out for a while.

I hope you enjoyed this post and have a great rest of your evening. More posts coming next week as usual.

Products I cannot live without: Lip Balm

Hello guys,

Good evening! I hope you are having a great start to your weekend. I am still suffering with flu..yes "suffering" haha. This morning i am going to be talking about one of my favourite beauty products! Lip balm. I am going to be sharing with my absolute favourites. And with winter on its way.. what better time than to discuss my trusted faves.

Ever since i discovered Lush's fantastic Lip scrub, made from sugar. My favourite is the christmas one "Santa's scrub" I  exfoliate my lips lightly every few days ever since trying it and my lips have never been softer or moisturised. So i would recommend trying a lip exfoliator regularly, it really helps to get luscious lips!

Next of course, my trusted lip balms and mask.

1. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lipcare Stick
My favourite lip balm is the Elizabeth Arden eight hour lip balm. I find it so nourishing, its a really effective treatment for dry lips. I apply it at night and always find my lips are plump and moisturised in the morning. There is also a balm version available.

2. Palmers Cocoa Butter Lip Balm in Original

I have recently discovered this gem, as i ran out of my Nivea one and the supermarket didn't have many options. But i am pleased i discovered this one! The Cocoa butter formula is non-greasy and smells amazing. There are flavoured ones available also.

3. Nivea Lip Balm

As previously mentioned i normally use the Nivea lip balms and always try a different flavour when i buy a new one! I love the formula but i don't find them as nourishing as the Elizabeth Arden one. (i always have dry lips)
Fruity Shine Peach

Fruity Shine Strawberry
Fruity Shine Cherry

Lip Butter Blueberry Blush
Lip Butter Caramel Cream

4. Best Damn Beauty Lip Mask

I have only recently started using a lip mask once or twice a week, and have tried the Beauty Damn Beauty lip mask, a skincare brand created by beauty blogger, Nicole Guerriero. I am really liking the mask,  i find it super hydrating and well worth the money. I love the chic packaging and the product itself smells great, always a plus!

It contains Lanolin which helps to rejuvenate dry skin, Castor Seed oil which helps to penetrate into the skin and aids in hydration. Jojoba oil helps to improve the skins elasticity and flexibility and the mask recommend for night time use. It's a must try if you have dry lips!

I hope you guys enjoyed some insight into what lip products i cannot live without!
Share with me below what products you have been using and loving, i am always on the look out for new products to try! I hope you all have a great weekend.

Bye for now,

My best tips for battling flu!

Hey guys,

I hope you are all well. Sorry for my lack of recent posts, i am suffering from bad flu. I was thinking about all the things that would help make me feel better. So i thought, why not share them with you guys, as i can't possibly be the only one that is ill!

1. Try to minimise stress & workload

Now i know this is easier said than done, because i still have to work and write for uni daily. But my best tip would be to prioritise your workload and try your best not to stress yourself out as that will only make you feel worse.

2. Green Smoothies

Green smoothies are the best for when your feeling ill, and for some reason it really helps to make you feel better. And of course, they're packed with probiotics, vitamins, minerals and green goodness to help you get better faster.

3. Big Blue Lush Bath Bomb

I always keep one of these for when I'm feeling down or ill, because the smell really helps me to feel better.

4. Strepsils

Of course, these are a must and the strawberry ones are my favourite!

5. Ice Lollies

Even though the weather has been a bit rubbish these last few days, here in Surrey and the days seem to be getting darker already. Ice lollies have been helping to soothe my throat! My current favourites are the Coconut and Pina Colada ones from Waitrose. Check them out!

6. Green Tea & Honey and Lemon

I love Green tea at the best of times, but this honestly does really help. You could also try some hot water with honey and lemon.

7. Rest

Rest is a must if you want to get better. Relax and try to make the most of it.

I know this was short and sweet, but i hope you guys enjoyed it! Apologies for lack of posts, as soon as I'm better normal posts will resume. I hope this gives you some ideas to help you feel better if you too are under the weather.

Take Care,

What i love about Fall

Hello guys,

Today's post is about what i love about Fall. Now that summer is over and can i just say i can't believe how fast this year has gone by. I've had a great summer and am looking forward to starting my second year of University. I hope you are all having a great year.

Fall is one of my favourite times of the year, when you can re-invent your wardrobe and warm jumpers and knits come out, and autumnal shades are all the rage! I love to shop for new home things, clothes and stay warm and cosy. The only thing i don't like about winter is the mornings get darker and colder.

Anyway, there are certain i do to get ready for winter, and do throughout winter.

Lush Bath bomb/Ballistics:

My all time favourite is Candy Mountain which is a sweet, pink and white mountain. But that only comes out at Christmas time, which makes it even more special. My favourites all year round, are Big Blue which is great for a cold, it has a very herbal scent. Frozen, which is new and is based on the film it also has silver glitter inside! Butterball, which is an all time favourite, its so nourishing so ideal for dry skin and especially winter. Fizz banger, which has a really zingy energising scent, perfect for a pick me up pamper session. Twilight, is a sweet scent, really warming great for a cold evening. And lastly, the comforter in Berry is another of one my favourites.

Big Blue
Butterball
Frozen

Fizzbanger
Twilight
The Comforter

Lush Luxury Bath Melts:

A favourite is Melting marshmallow, which is a sweet pink treat! there are lots of seasonal bath bombs, which i cannot remember the names of, but i would recommend keeping an eye on the website and in your local stores.

New ones which i have tried and loved. Are Milky Bath bubble bar, Rosejam bubbleroon, and Sunnyside which is a gold sparkling bubble bar.

Milky Bath Bubble
RoseJam

Sunnyside

Candles:   I love candles, there is always a candle burning somewhere in my home, especially during winter. I have a few favourites, but like to try new scents too! My favourite scent at christmas is Yankee's Snowflake Cookie its such a sweet, warm fragrance, i always purchase a few to last me through the new year also.

Yankee Candle: Fireside Treats, Salted Caramel and Cappuccino truffles are my absolute favourites. I also love Jo Malone candles, especially sweet almond and Macaroon and Lime basil and Mandarin which is a fresh scent. They are both expensive brands but i have found they last for a long time and the scent lingers.

knits: My favourite brands for knit jumpers are Acne, Next, and Topshop.

Fall Nail Polish: I mainly have Bio-Sculpture or CND Shellac Gel nails, because it is durable and doesn't chip easily. But i also love polishes and use them frequently too. I think it is important to give your nails a break from chemicals and gels, so i alternate between the three options. My favourite colours this fall are: CND Shellac - Tinted Love, Hollywood, they are also some of my all time favourite shades, but are perfect for fall! I will share with you a few of my favourite polishes for fall this year too below.

CND Shellac -
Rouge Rite
Hollywood
Tinted Love

CND Shellac -
There is also a new fall Collection, i love every shade from the collection so i will show you them all!
If you prefer nail polish, CND Vinylux is the fantastic polish collection which offer every shade of the shellac range in a polish version. I would recommend trying them!
Glacial Mist
Nordic Lights

Essie Fall 2015 - in Color Binge

If you love some sparkle in winter..
(I know i sometimes do)

Deborah Lippmann - LE Flash Dance in Electrifying Orchid

Tanya Burr Cosmetics - In Duvet Day

Essie Bridal 2015 - In Hubby for Dessert

If i see anymore that i love, i will add them.

I also love winter walks with my dogs, Hot chocolate, and watching great movies in the warm.

I hope you enjoyed finding out what i love about Fall. I hope you guys are having a great start to September. Let me know what you love about Fall. More exciting posts to come!

Have a great day,
